Dehua Yango Longen Lijing Bay: A Unique Villa Model Room Blending East and West

Located in Quanzhou Dehua County, also known as the "World Ceramics Capital," this villa model room draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of the region. Porcelain, the common cultural gene of Dehua people, is deeply embedded in the hearts of the community. The design team, led by Renata Yin, has skillfully incorporated this cultural element into the space, creating a harmonious fusion of ancient and modern Western influences.

Spanning an impressive 388 square meters, the Dehua Yango Longen Lijing Bay showcases the perfect balance between nature, humanity, and the collision of classics. The design team has carefully selected fabrics, metal, marble, and leather to bring this vision to life. The result is a space that exudes elegance and sophistication, while still maintaining a sense of warmth and comfort.

The villa model room features a seamless integration of Eastern and Western aesthetics. The living room, located on the first floor, serves as a central gathering space that embodies both functionality and beauty. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to flood the room, creating a serene and timeless atmosphere. The furniture, with its soft colors and curved forms, reflects the modern French lifestyle that the owner adores.

Throughout the design process, the team at Renata Yin's studio, in collaboration with Emma Zhang and Luis Lv, focused on creating a space that not only showcases the beauty of cultural fusion but also provides a spiritual home for modern individuals. The Dehua Yango Longen Lijing Bay project began in Shanghai in April 2020 and was completed in Quanzhou Dehua in December 2020. Throughout the process, the team conducted extensive research, drawing inspiration from Eastern and Western classics. This research, combined with the team's expertise in cultural integration, resulted in a design that is truly unique and captivating.

The Dehua Yango Longen Lijing Bay has been recognized for its excellence in design. It was awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award is a testament to the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the space, meeting professional and industrial requirements while contributing to a better world.
